I liked 7.2's assessability to my e-mail. I thought it was my fault that I couldn't find it on 8.1
I am disappointed that my $10 of hardcore netscape brand loyalty has only bought me a browser that crashes when used on windows vista. Get the version made already!!!!
when can whe expect a beta release
well, Netscape needs to load faster upon startup, have a better skin look and that would be enough for me to use it now and then.
will netscape 9 have built in email like netscape 7.2
version 8 didnt have any email
Finally come to your senses multi platform support once again I was a loyal netscape user fot years until you screwed it up by going windows only what were you thinking
well i hope you have ECS support formerly know as OS/2 once again.
I sure hope you will fix the Bug in the Options Console/ general page/ connections/ proxies in Netscape 9.0 as you can't get in there in Ver 8 it is not there M.I.A! No way to set proxies if you can't get in! Ver 8 was lame without connections.
Any way you can speed up the Boot open Program time to the desktop. You could go to lunch while waiting for the splash screen in Ver 8 to leave. How about ridding us of that screen and a turbo faster open time.
I agree with one of the previous posters. I've used netscape for YEARS, but the newer versions don't have an email option for mail from the ISP I'm using. If they don't have that, I'll be forced (as I am now) to use another browser that is so equipped.
Thanks for the update, Chris. I've been using Netscape for over ten years. I tried v8, but found it unwieldy and clumsy. I still use v7.2 about half the time; just recently, I've noticed that some sites don't work well with it anymore. For those, I use FireFox.
As for Internet Explorer . . . I pretty much only fire that up when I need to hit the Microsoft site. . . .

Now, i ope this is alot better that version 8, 8 is simply like avant and aol, they just use internet explorer and have a new interface ma by Netscape will oneday regain its glory, but first it needs to improve alot.
I think it should be ok with macs, works fine on my ubuntu.
@Naodjs (RE: [IDN] is highly unsafe): IE's IDN implementation is secured in a number of important ways: http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2005/12/19/505564.aspx. The Mozilla/Opera teams took a different approach which requires the top-level domain (e.g. .JP, .DE, etc) to be on an allowlist.
So, when is this coming out or is it out already? I've seen forum messages for it which leads me to believe that it's already available. Thanks.
