Tweaking our site mail features

Here at Netscape, we're constantly trying to improve the experience for all users, from casual visitors to hardcore community members. At the moment we're reevaluating some of the site mail features. While that's going on, we've decided to disable one feature in particular: the "All Mutual Friends" box in the Send a Message interface. Why? For one thing, we've gotten frequent complaints from members about spam. So we're looking for the best balance between social networking tools and potential headaches for the community. In two weeks we'll figure out whether to bring back the "All Mutual Friends" box, disable it permanently, or perhaps modify it. If you have any opinions on the issue or suggestions to make, feel free to message me. Your ideas are always welcome.

I have your Netscape 7.0 installed. It crashes all the time. I instlled Netscape 8.1.2 but I am unalble to set up and get e-mail. Can you help?

Oh, thank you sooo much! I'm betting that with the amount of friends that Navigators and Anchors have, you guys must get at least a dozen mass mailings a day. I, for one, will not cry if this feature doesn't come back.

I have being using the Netscape suite since it appear for the first time, and it has being my favourite browser. Through time, it went changing for the best, namely evolutioning. I have installed the Netscape 7.2 which crashes quiet often, but I use it just because it comes with the e-mail server (so good). The latest versions namely the Netscape 8 family they are good browsers but without the e-mail server. I think that is not good, nowadays I'm looking for a suite that can give me the same that I am having with the old version of Netscape, perhaps I choose one of the Mozilla family. Anyhow, I think you should include the e-mail server in the new generation of the Netscape browsers you have the technology to do it. Don't be selfish and give us the best, PLEASE.

I THINK I'VE HAD YOU FOR ABOUT 10 YEARS NOW WITHOUT ANY MAJOR PROBLEMS. NOW NETSCAPE 7.2 IS CCONSTANTLY CRASHING ON ME. I CAN ONLY ACCESS MY E-MAILS THREW 7.2 AND NOT THE BROWSER 8.1. HOW COME? I SPEND MORE TIME IN RECONNECTING MYSELF TO 7.2 AFTER IT CRASHES JUST TO CHECK OUT A FEW E-MAILS AND I HAVE DSL WHICH IS CRAZY. CAN'T YOU DO ANY BETTER THEN THIS?? WHY CAN'T I PUT IN MY E-MAIL ACCOUNT INTO THE 8.1 BROWSER?

I am having difficulty loging on my previous netscape account. There is some conflict with AIM, although I tried to use and set up with AIM. Its confusing - with which name and password I am supposed to log in on netscape broser.

Any suggestion or solution.

I downloaded Netscape 8.1 and for a while it worked fine. Then one day sites wouldn't open or display everything and some site functionality was lost. I discovered that for some reason cookies had been disabled. I certainly had not done it. I went through all the set up screens and places where I might enable cookies and every time I found it the option to enable cookies was grayed out and unavailable. I went back to 7.2 but as others have noted it was so unstable I finally succumbed to using IE7. Can you fix it? I miss my Netscape browser.

I cinstantly find myself unable to download music videos or other news or any videos as they require internet explorer...they refuse netsacpe...are you addressing any of these issues? I am considering switching otherwise...thank you.

I have benn a member of netscape for 4-5 years. I realy enjoyed it at first. Each time there is a change (supposedly for the better) it gets less friendly to operate and lose some of the things i changed for. I long for the days of a couple of years ago when it was a joy to log on to netscape.

Are you sure this feature has been turned off? My mail had the same amount of spam this morning from the same senders.

I HAVE BEEN USING NETSCAPE SINCE IT CAME OUT AND HAVE STAYED WITH YOU ALL THESE YEARS. HOWEVER, NOT BEING ABLE TO ACCESS MY 7.2 EMAIL IN 8.1 IS VERY DISCOURAGING. NOW YOU HAVE 7.2 SHUTTING DOWN FREQUENTLY LOSING MY DATA. COME ON , GUYS. FIX THIS!
