I hope and pray that Al Gore will run for President again. Timing is the key to success. When all the others are rushing about seeking election, Gore should wait until fairly late and then hit the ground running. The USA needs the caliber of Al Gore as the next President. He could win it.
The evolution of Netscape from from when I first became acquainted with it has progressed.
I do not understand the point of Ver 8.1 or 8.2. I currently use Ver 7.2,for e-mail. not much difficulty other than some SPAM & the finance My Portfolio requires additional effort to utilize while it is being ??. When shall it be of normal use?
Thank goodness-I thought I was becoming senile or something. So glad to find out I am not the only one that Netscape 7 crashes on. So frustrating to be in the middle of something and boom! Any other place to go besides Netscape because I'm changing to something else. I don't have the patient to deal with this which to becoming more frequent.

why does "my netscape" page still show "My.Netscape is undergoing changes!" it has been over a month, i thought it was going to be just a few days. please email with your info, thanks, jamie
I am having a terrible time with Netscape Mail. When I try to get my mail, the Netscape page jumps back. I tried to print an important e-mail for later reference, the Netscape Home came up and locked up my computer totally and had to be booted. Please Help, I don't have time to be wasted.
Wouild you please get rid of the flacshing alert relative to the main topic listing on your homepage. It is truly annoying. I used to scan through many of the listed stories to see if there was anything of interest, but now I get away from the homepage as soon as possible. Is there any way that I can disable that locally? Thanks....
I've always thought that users would find it more beneficial to be able to build multiple mailing list, so that they for forward stories to users that would appreciate them the most. The all mutual friend approach was a bit overboard, but easier than sending out mail one friend at a time, especially if you have a significant number of friends.
Why can't there be a button to message just one's friends, or am I missing something? Sounds like a middle ground to me. "All mutual friends" too can be OK but maybe it is too much for some purposes. All of these work only if used responsibly, of course. I think the tools should remain but abusers should be reported and perhaps "cut off" somehow so responsible users, and the site itself, can benefit from the versatility.
I am using netscape browser since it exist, and make updates each time a new version starts. I have two browsers on my laptop,the reason of cause is in Europe some administrations and banking downloads work only with IE. I´m still using the 7.2 download with his email features who are not existing on the latest version were you need AOL features. I prefer the 7.2 version with the easy handling of emails and I miss this features in your latest versions. Thank´s for leaving the old versions on your home page for download,each time I have a crash down I can go ther.
I too had Netscape 7.? and was quite happy with it. I do not find Netscape 8.? to be as easy , friendly, or convenient to use. Having to go to 2-3 screens to open an attachment, which may or may not open, is frustrating. Some E-mail in my inbox disappear while others show up 7.2 which cannot be forwarded. I don't find the 'Home' page very convenient either. So, FIX IT!

I think many people are posting about Netscape Browser EMail and not about Netscape Private SiteMail.
I think netscape.com private SiteMail can be improved with:
- user defined friends lists, which can be used for private message sending
- default expirations which can be reset by the sender (when sending) or receiver (after receiving)
- ability to see which users are active, so we do not have to send messages to users who are not active for 7 days or so
- add an address book type functionality to friends, so we can keep private information on-line
I mostly surf the stories which come to me in the site mail, when people (friends and not friends) pass them along - this is going to inhibit the usability of netscape.com
