What if you built a forum--and nobody came? That may be overstating the case, but we did want to alert all visitors to the Netscape Community Forum, which has been up and running for some time now. It's probably the quickest way to answer your questions about technical issues, glitches, web mail, and impending versions of the Netscape browser. There's also a Wish List discussion thread and a daily poll, should you be in the mood to pull the (virtual) lever.

Of course you can continue to contact our team of Anchors and Navigators with questions and comments. But the Netscape Community Forum (which can be accessed via the Help tab at the top of every page) is a one-stop resource you might want to keep in mind.

I downloaded an update of flashplayer & now my computer is messing up. A netscape error pops up & closes the site I'm on & sends me back to my desktop page. I've tried going into the add/remove program, but it is not listed there. How do I uninstall or fix the problem? Thanks for any info or help you can give me.

I have a question related to banned URLs..Do you have a policy not allowing bloggers linking their stories to your site...I did so with my site for some time http://timeforchange.typepad.com/lilsurfergirl , never received any notice, then bang..banned. Is there a review process? If so, where can I read about it? Thanks

I'm still having problems with the backspace key. When I'm composing a message and make an error and try to backspace it closes the message and I lose everything I've written. I use netscape 8.1.2. Can you also please let me know the status of My Netscape and when will it be up and running.

Oh god...I hope so...there is a list of idiots I'd like to see banned...

I blog too....but I dont have a super ego and the need to self advertise...

Ban them all I say...it's nothing but spam...

This may be related to the Debbie Nice comment above, though I don't know if my/our problem is due to downloading Flash. We use two separate Netscape programs: Netscape 7.1 for her and the more recent Browser, because of a Netscape error message that kept popping up when we both used the Browser. Trouble is: We still get the error message and it forces us to close 7.1 in her case; in mine, the error message only occurs during the mail function, typically/always when reading mail from CNET and downloading a story with graphics.

Can anyone help us with this? It's more than an annoyance!

Tonight I lost my email folder as a rssult from getting bad technical advice from sbc.com.
Does anyone know how I can restore my original email file back to its original folder? I am assuming it is on my hard drive. I tried to locate it, but could not find it. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I downloaded the latest and greatest Netscape. I have used Netscape forever, and now all of a sudden on one site www.UShip.com the browser closes the site when i'm trying to get something done. Bang as they say and no browser at all. The site has just revamped itself and I am forced to use the Redmon WA based co's browser old what's it's name? to view this site.
That sucks.

I ,too , am bugged with back space key problem while using Gmail on netscape. I loose all my compose mail on pressing backspace. Infact else where also in an Text Area this occurs many times (not for all sites)and closes the tab or window without warning!! I use 8.1.2

If you're using something like Netscape 7 and haven't changed the default settings at install,
the path to retrieve your e-mail folders should be Documents and settings\NANCY\Application data\Mozilla\profiles\...

I find it funny that a blog about going to the community for help is followed by support questions. ALL of these topics have been covered there many times. if you want support, that is where you should go.
