Homepage Stories counts

As some of you may already have noticed, we have stopped marking stories as having hit the homepage for the purposes of showing them on a member's stat page, under "Homepage Stories" (shown in Figure 1).

We are reevaluating our homepage configuration, as well as the calculation of member site rankings. Once we have finished our investigation, the idea of "Homepage Stories" may very well become obsolete.

If you have thoughts on the matter, submit them to: feedback@newnetscape.com. Kindly add a subject line of: "Homepage Stories counts" so we can find them quickly. We will not respond to any of the feedback directly, but will use the feedback in our discussions.

We will leave the module up for the time being, but will not add any new stories to these listings until we have made a decision on the future of this statistic.

I leave for a few months and return to find they've hidden how many anchors/navigators there are online from people & now they want to do away with people's homepage story count.. go figure. Why don't they just pay us to stay away.

Oh well.. My homepage stories were half 'eaten by netscape' when the new netscape was being updated anyway. No, they could not be retrieved, said Mr. C.K., we'll chalk it up as 'growing pains'.

Back to the subject. If most people are like me (yes, I'm normal), they like to keep track of their homepage stories so I think it's a bad idea to do away with them. I also like to see who ALL the anchors and navigators are.. is it a secret? If so, why?

..And please get rid of that ugly black thing on the left, it's depressing and makes people psycho.. kind of.

I like the related stories, found many articles that way. I like being able to call up the homepage stories as well. Netscape is the best of the social networking sites, try not to change too much.

I think homepage stories must be updated. Its good to see what people are liking and we can read more useful stuff just by looking at this widget rather than scanning through all the popular stories.

I had my old homepage set up the way I wanted to read the news, stock portfolio, weather, etc. I keep trying Internet Explorer and will probably change to it temporaly if I don't get my old home page.
