Number 11 is best, is quite similar to splash screen of Netscape Navigator version 3. Number 8 and 7 are also good.

My favorite is probably #9 with the comet and the planet. It reminds me a lot of the old Netscape throbbers. However, entry #2 is also extremely nice, and I was actually also thinking of making one with a lighthouse (unfortunately I never had time to design it). I definitely would be pleased to see either of those chosen for the final release of the browser.
It must have been a very difficult decision to pick a winner from all the designs. There were a number of outstanding designs. However, Mario Herbert's design is top-notch. I like the fact that it uses the ship steering wheel design. It must have been very difficult to arrive at a winner, but Mario certainly deserves this win.
I like the new design which still retains essential elements of the familiar Netscape that's in everyone's minds. Congratulations to the winner, he did a fantastic job on the design - clean & simple.
