i love this new version
It is almost funny to realize that Netscape 9 has become the most stable version of Firefox available! I would just like why Mozilla is messing up their browser so intensively since version 2.0.0.4. Any clues?
Great thanks for new version.
Great thanks for new version.
Great features, but now I cannot see any of the pics on the homepage and many of the other sites that I regularly visit.
I really don't see a whole lot of difference between Netscape 9 and Firefox. The menus look the same. If it REALLY wanted to be like Netscape of old, then change the menus: at least add a Windows menu so that people who have > 1 window open can switch between them by going to the Windows menu.
Also, the History looks exactly the same as Firefox. Again, it'd be helpful if it was more like what Netscape 7 has. With that version, you have the ability to see the Last Visited and First Visited dates of each page and also the URL. It would be SO nice to see those instead of it saying: ..., "6 days ago", "Older than 6 days". The listing of the URL in there would be especially helpful because I see a lot of pages with the same title (indicating the site name, for example), but they all go to a different page on that site.
At least the Bookmarks look about the same (as that of version 7)!
I´ve heard that the NESTSCAPE DEVELOPERS TEAM are working in the mail/news client to complement the Navigator browser, CONGRATULATIONS, We will have the best of all again.

Awesome, I look forward to checking this out. I remember becoming a fan of Netscape back in the 4.x days...have since skipped to the moz/FF zone and am interested in how this project is coming along. Thanks for the update.

A very useful update!! I like this tool.
I have used Netscape for years......now using 7.2 for the Mac but as understand it, if I install 9.0.0.3 I loose my Netscape mail. I will not use new versions if I loose my Netscape mail. Can you advise.
I downloaded 9.0.0.2 2 days ago, well i guess world has started rotating faster.
I have downloaded, can`t wait to put my hands on it.
I like the new layout, too. Very well done. Thanks!
I downloaded 9.03 two days ago. I have been using Firefox for the last several years, always liked it -- better than the alternatives.
But over the last few version I found FF eating up CPU power, and then just becoming non-responsive. I tried Explorer -- don't like it, and found it doesn't import my latest FF bookmarks accurately.
The I remembered Netscape. Decided to give it a shot, even though a couple of versions ago I found it was too slow -- not the program I used in the 90s.
WOW!
It is just like FF (which makes sense given it is based on FF).
It imported my bookmarks accurately.
It doesn't start escalating its use of CPU as FF did.
The LinkPad is a genius feature.
So far it hasn't crashed, become non-responsive, or done anything wrong.
I'm back where I started -- with Netscape, which is now better than FF IMO.
