Netscape Browser Support extended to March 1st

AOL support for Netscape browsers has been extended one month, to March 1st. Mozilla, Flock and AOL are working together to provide tools to ease the migration of existing Netscape browser users to our recommended Flock and Firefox alternatives. Both Flock and Firefox are built on the same Mozilla Firefox codebase.

There will be an update made available for Netscape 9 users through the established Netscape browser update feature that will streamline the process of choosing from these two great browser alternatives.

I think i'll switch to IE7 after 3/1, until Firefox3 or IE8 becomes available.

Firefox leaks too much, Flock is just too social for me.

thank you for the extension.

i have been using Netscape ever since it was started in the Mosaic
days, using it everywhere i can, at work and at home. currently,
i use Netscape 7.2 Messenger & Browser, the latter being the primary
storage for all my bookmarks from 8 years. i never gave up on it
and dont need support, it being relatively easy to use.

thank you once again for the best browser in the world and for
supporting it for so long.

hello:

even though i use Netscape 7.2 Suite, not liking Netscape
Browser 8.1.2 (OU812), i recently started using Netscape
Browser 9.0 for my browsing needs. excellent! superb!

the LinkPad, MiniBrowser, and F9 Sidebar are excellent,
not being available in Firefox.

Not sure why anybody needs this, surely it is sad event in web history but it's time to move on. Opera, Firefox, Flock, Safari, countless others. Goodbye Netcape, good luck everybody!

Whether Netscape the best Browser is, about it one can argue. I also never tried it out. I am very content with Firefox.

May I add my THANKS, too, for the extension! I do so hope Netscape won't disappear. Is there anything users can do to keep it going. Not supporting Netscape is like breaking all appendages on the Statute of Liberty!!!
